UNITED NATIONS | UNESCO

TIMELINE:

1945 – UNESCO is established

Its stated purpose is to contribute to peace and security by promoting international collaboration through education, science, and culture in order to further universal respect for justice, the rule of law, and human rights along with fundamental freedom proclaimed in the UN Charter.[1] It is the heir of the League of NationsInternational Commission on Intellectual Cooperation.

IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND: The United Nations idea of establishing world peace and security is through total disarmament of the world’s citizens.  Only governments should be armed in order to control the citizens.  The long time goal of the United Nations has been to replace our Constitution and  Bill of Rights (which states rights given by God which cannot be taken away by any man) with their “Universal Declaration of Human Rights” (rights given by man which can also be taken away by man).

Article: The U.N.’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights Is a Dangerous Substitute for the American Bill of Rights

1951“THE GREATEST SUBVERSIVE PLOT IN HISTORY: REPORT TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ON UNESCO”from The Congressional Record, Proceedings and Debates of the 82nd Congress, First Session in 1951 included the extended remarks of Hon. John T. Wood (Idaho) in the U.S. House of Representatives, Thursday, October 18. Excerpts follow:

Mr. Speaker, I am herewith appending an article published by the American Flag Committee… bearing the title “A Report to the American People on UNESCO.” Just how careless and unthinking can we be that we permit this band of spies and traitors to exist another day in this land we all love? Are there no limits to our callousness and neglect of palpable and evident treason stalking rampant through our land, warping the minds and imaginations of even our little children, to the lying propaganda and palpable untruths we allow to be fed to them through this monstrous poison?…

Under the leadership of Julian Huxley, UNESCO prepared a Nine Volume set of detailed brochures for teacher training, called the UNESCO Guidebook for Teachers. Quotes from these volumes illustrate the original and purpose of UNESCO to remove the child’s sense of loyalty, patriotism, religious belief, and allegiance to national sovereignty.

Quotes include:

“… destruction of a child’s love of country and patriotism is the first step in educating that child for world citizenship.”

Volume V, “In the Classroom with Children Under Thirteen Years of Age…Before the child enters school his mind has already been profoundly marked and often injuriously, by earlier influences… first gained, however dimly, in the home.”

Page 9: “The kindergarten or infant school has a significant part to play in the child’s education. Not only can it correct many of the errors of home training but it can also prepare the child for membership, at about age seven, in a group of his own age and habits — the first of many such social identifications that he must achieve on his way to membership in the world society (emphases added).”

1984 –President Ronald Reagan pulled the U.S. out of UNESCO, citing its anti-Americanism, politicization of cultural issues, and bureaucratic money-wasting activities.

2002 – In a spirit of reconciliation, President George W. Bush announced the U.S. return to UNESCO. But the organization’s drive to codify “cultural protectionism” demonstrates the wisdom of Mr. Reagan’s original stand.

November 17, 2004 – UNESCO signed a “Cooperation Agreement” with Microsoft – Bill Gates   Gates agrees to fund the development and promotion of the Common Core standards and assessments

Teaching global citizenship from UNESCO, to a group of students who do not understand American exceptionalism and nationalism eliminates knowledge of freedom and liberty. Our elected representatives in Congress deny that this nation has a mandatory federal education curriculum. Congress hides the fact behind the historic arrangement of state and local control of schools. The federal government denies that there is a federal curriculum that teaches world government over national sovereignty. Your Representatives in Congress are in the dark and the federal government is lying.

The fact is, the building blocks of world government are being taught in a number of ways. There are several specific programs in today’s education curriculum designed to promote global government.

UNESCO: The Brainwashing Site For Teachers– Reorienting Academics to “Sustainability” Indoctrination and the End of Liberty.  The aim is to “reorient” academics to focus on “sustainability” and to slowly eradicate personal liberty in favor of collectivism.

The goal: UNESCO (United Nations) wants to “teach” (indoctrinate) everyone to become obsessed with “sustainability” to the point that they are willing to give up everything for sustainability– traditional academics; traditional authority of parents over their own children; parents, especially women, raising their own children; personal property, Constitutions, religions; traditional museums and media. Nothing will be allowed to be more important than “sustainability” in anyone’s mind.

UNESCO wants to transform the thinking of every human on earth. This is easier to do if they first indoctrinate teachers, since they can more easily “teach” their new religion of sustainability if teachers are converted first.

WHY WE NEED ‘THE FREEDOM IN EDUCATION ACT’

By Tom DeWeese

The International Baccalaureate Program (IB) created by the United Nations Economic, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in now in more than 500 American public schools and the federal Department of Education is helping to fund it. UNESCO says, “the program remains committed to changing children’s values so they think globally, rather than in parochial national terms from their own country’s viewpoint.”

The IB curriculum achieves that goal, says UNESCO, by promoting human rights, social justice, sustainable development, population, health, environmental, and immigration concerns. This is not education, rather it’s propaganda for a certain political agenda.

But the UNESCO global curriculum is found in much more than just the IB program. On October 3, 2003, just 3 months after the Bush Administration put the United States back into UNESCO (after Ronald Reagan had removed us twenty years ago) former Bush Education Secretary Rod Paige addressed the UNESCO Round Table of Ministers on Quality Education.

Said Paige, “The United States is pleased to return to UNESCO and to participate in meetings like this. I am very pleased to see many friends from the Third Inter-American Education Ministerial in Mexico City. There and here, we agree that we must make education a universal reality. Our governments have entrusted us with the responsibility of preparing our children to become citizens of the world. We are here to share and learn.  (NOTE: the intent is a breakdown of American exceptionalism and national sovereignty.  We are no longer American citizens we are global citizens.)

When President Bush took office, he saw these problems and decided to tackle them head on through a program called ‘No Child Left Behind.’ UNESCO, through the great leadership of Director General Matsuura, knows the importance of education on a global level by coordinating the “Education for All” initiative. ‘Education For All’ is consistent with our recent education legislation, the No Child Left Behind Act.”

Those policies are now storming into classrooms across the nation. For example, from the Idaho Department of Education comes a curriculum called “Human Rights in Education.”

Listed below are four classes taught to four separate grade levels:

Grade Six (Geography and Cultures Western Hemisphere): Introduction to Our World; Focus on Canada; Focus on Latin America Global Citizenship

Grade Seven (Geography and Cultures Eastern Hemisphere): Global Citizenship

Grade Eight (Social Science Exploratory A Case Study of Idaho) Universe of Obligation

Grade Nine (World History) {Humanities}: Universal Declaration of Human Rights

However, the most powerful tool for the teaching of global government in public schools is a civics text book entitled We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution. The textbook is the only one authorized and funded by federal law; the only text which is officially part of the federal takeover of education. This book was first authorized and funded by the education appropriations bill (HR6) in 1994 and was authorized and funded again in No Child Left Behind in 2002. This book is the Federal Curriculum for civics and government in textbook form.  more…

U.N. POISONS U.S. EDUCATION WITH OUR TAX DOLLARS

By Tom DeWeese

“During the Reagan administration, the US dropped its membership in UNESCO, citing how corrupt it had become. Typically, the Bush administration put us back in!” “administrators do not tell you that the current IB program for ages 3 through grade 12 promotes socialism, disarmament, radical environmentalism and moral relativism, while attempting to undermine Christian religious values and national sovereignty.”

The UN-sponsored International Baccalaureate (IB)
Not only will American students be taught that allegiance to America, our governmental and economic systems, should be replaced by global citizenship, but the diplomas they are earning are just a “broken promise” of the education they should have received!

American children will be taught about the environmental scheme called “sustainable development that, in reality, means blocking development for almost any reason because it requires using the Earth’s natural resources. They will be indoctrinated to accept the UN’s views on immigration, population, health, and other environmental concerns.

Teaching Global Citizenship

SUBJECT: FEDERAL LAW (H.R. 12964) IN THE U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, JULY 21, 1969 (EXCERPT)

“A BILL Making appropriations for the Departments of State, Justice, and Commerce, the Judiciary, and related agencies for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1970, and for other purposes.

SEC. 104. None of the funds appropriated in this title shall be used (1) to pay the United States contribution to any international organization which engages in the direct or indirect promotion of the principle or doctrine of one world government or one world citizenship; (2) for the promotion, direct or indirect, of he principle or doctrine of one world government or one world citizenship.”

The United Nations “social justice” agenda is enmeshed in just about every university degree program in our nation.

Very disturbing is the opening of the U.N. Global Training Center at Kennesaw State (Georgia).

Obama Hires PR Firm to Push Obamacare; Newt Wants ‘Downton Abbey’ Role

UNESCO and the USA

1. Obama Seeks End Run Around UNESCO Funding Ban

Back in October 2011, the United States was forced by law to cut off funding for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) after it voted to approve full membership for the Palestinian Authority.

The Obama administration sought to circumvent the funding ban by including $79 million for UNESCO in its fiscal year 2013 budget request, but the request was not approved.

Now the administration is once again trying to fund the agency, including $77.7 million for UNESCO in its newly released fiscal 2014 budget request.

Public Law 101-246, passed by the Democratic-controlled Congress in 1990, states that “no funds authorized to be appropriated by this Act or any other Act shall be available for the United Nations or any specialized agency thereof which accords the Palestine Liberation Organization the same standing as member states.”

Public Law 103-236 Title IV, passed in 1994, prohibits “voluntary or assessed contribution to any affiliated organization of the United Nations which grants full membership as a state to any organization or group that does not have the internationally recognized attributes of statehood.”

But as the Insider Report disclosed earlier, the agency went ahead with granting membership to the Palestinian Authority, a move that Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, R-Fla., said at the time was “anti-Israel and anti-peace.”

With U.S. contributions comprising 22 percent of the operating budget, UNESCO head Irina Bokova said the loss of American funds has led to the “worst ever” financial crisis in the agency’s history, according to CNS News.

In its budget proposal, the administration attempts to justify renewed funding of UNESCO: “The ability to make such contributions is essential to advancing U.S. interests worldwide and strengthening U.S. global leadership, influence, and credibility.”

During the 1980s, the United States and the United Kingdom withdrew from UNESCO, accusing the agency of mismanagement and an anti-Western political agenda. The U.K. returned in 1997 and President George W. Bush restored the U.S. relationship in 2002, citing wide-ranging reforms

Footnote: Buried in the State Department’s budget request is news that if the administration can convince Congress to grant a waiver to the funding freeze, State hopes to give UNESCO the money it did not provide in 2012 and 2013, which could amount to $135 million.
