ANOTHER EXAMPLE: THE STATE BELIEVES YOUR CHILDREN BELONG TO THEM
A New Jersey father defended his son, Ethan, after a simple pencil-swirling incident nearly resulted in the boy’s suspension earlier this year because a classmate claimed he was spinning it like a “gun.” Following intense media scrutiny, school officials reportedly backed off and it looked like the situation would just blow over.
Then Michael Chaplin says he received a stunning letter from New Jersey’s Department of Child Protection and Permanency and Department of Children and Families. Despite the fact that the superintendent of the Vernon Township School District decided not to take any disciplinary action, the state reportedly claimed to have found “an incident of abuse or neglect.”
However, the father now claims that the state is demanding further evaluation and even threatening to terminate his parental rights and put Ethan up for adoption if he refuses to comply.
Chaplin admitted that he is “scared” because state agencies “have a habit of running away with things unchecked and that’s exactly what’s going on.”
Teacher, 34, Accused Of Kidnapping 3 Students After Asking Them For Ride
“I sat there with my mouth open in shock and the final straw was when a joke was told on stage about a teacher, a lawyer and a priest on a plane,” the unidentified parent wrote to KOMO. “The plane was going down and the teacher says we have to save the children. Dr. Karen Effrem of Education Liberty Watch noted that there are “between 300 and 400 different data points, such as parents’ voting status, religious affiliation, medical data, newborn screening and genetic data.” This dossier extends to other family members (i.e. parents). This reinforces how desperate the government is to know everyone’s “psychological attitudes, values and beliefs.”

Teacher tells First Grader Not to Read the Bible
First grader Brynn Williams was in the middle of sharing her family’s Christmas tradition as part of a show and tell assignment, when the teacher cut her off.
“Go take your seat,” the teacher reportedly said when Williams had started to read a Bible verse as she presented her family’s star of Bethlehem.
The teacher at Helen Hunt Jackson Elementary School in Riverside, Calif., explained that students are not allowed to talk about the Bible in school.

Boy sees ‘gun’ in cloud, school goes ballistic
Parents of a second-grader in Colorado Springs, Colorado, are outraged after their son was questioned by school officials for completing a class assignment in which he said he had seen the figure of a gun in the clouds. Kody Smith, an elementary student in the Widefield School District, went outside with his classmates after being asked to describe figures in the clouds. The students were told to use their imaginations. “Draw a picture of what you see in the clouds from your imagination, and that picture is a gun,” Kody told his teacher. The teacher sent the 8-year-old to the school office and filed a behavior report.
Toy gun made of paper gets kid tossed from school
Meet 8-year-old Asher Palmer, who was tossed out of his special-needs Manhattan school for threatening other kids with a toy “gun’’ — which he made out of rolled-up paper. “Asher is exactly the type of student Lang [School] is supposed to be serving. Why they did this doesn’t make sense,’’ his outraged mom, Melina Spadone, told The Post. She was incensed that Principal Micaela Bracamonte told other staffers in an email that Asher “had a model for physically aggressive behavior in his immediate family.’’ Spadone thinks Bracamonte was referring to her husband because he served in the military during the Kuwait war. If that was the reason for the comment, she said, “I find it offensive and inappropriate.’’

Parents in Oklahoma City are horrified after a 10-year-old girl claims she was raped in a school bathroom by a brother-sister duo. Police are now investigating the alleged assault at Edgemere Elementary School….. The 10-year-old said she had gone to the restroom, and that’s when a female classmate of hers and the and the classmate’s brother began their assault.
Attorney: School fibbed about Bible ban
A legal team protecting the rights of a student to read the Bible during his class reading time claims officials in the Broward County school district in Florida lied about their ban on the Bible. A second demand letter from the Liberty Institute on behalf of the student revealed that while the school apparently was claiming the Bible was disallowed because it wasn’t on a list of approved reading sources for an advanced readers’ program, it actually was.
Student handcuffed over ‘deadly’ lacrosse equipment
A federal judge has cleared the path for two victims of a school’s “zero tolerance” program to sue officials over alleged violations of their constitutional rights. The ruling comes from U.S. District Court Judge George L. Russell III, who turned back a request from the Board of Education in Talbot County, Maryland, to dismiss the case. “This is a rare victory of reason and fairness over the kind of hysterical, irrational exercise of authority that teaches children to fear those in power – what I would call a draconian zero-tolerance policy run amok,” said John W. Whitehead, president of the Rutherford Institute, which is working on behalf of students Graham Dennis and Casey Edsall.
Wisconsin Dad Gets Restraining Order Against Kindergartener
A Kenosha-area father who claims his daughter is being bullied by a kindergarten classmate has taken out a restraining order against the 5-year-old. Brian Metzger told a Milwaukee TV station that his daughter has been threatened and attacked by her classmate at Prairie Lane Elementary School in Pleasant Prairie. A police report said the girl was kicked in the face and had sand and rocks thrown at her. “She came home and said a student threatened her by saying, ‘I want to slit your throat and watch you bleed,’” Metzger said. Metzger said he decided to get the restraining order because the school failed to protect his daughter.
Americans now ‘racist’ for waving American flag
Americans now are being blasted as “racist” for the simple act of waving an American flag. It happened Monday in California to a small group of protesters who waved U.S. flags in front of a school where officials had banned the practice to avoid violence threatened by Hispanic students celebrating Cinco de Mayo. The controversy developed in 2010, when school officials ordered students not to wear U.S. flag-themed shirts on the Mexican holiday. The ban has been upheld by a federal appeals court.

Judge says ordinary tools actually are ‘weapons’
Ordinary tools, such as pliers, screwdrivers and wrenches, are “weapons” and so a Chicago school was correct to punish a teacher who brought them to class for a visual aid, according to a new court decision. The ruling from a federal court in Illinois technically dismissed a lawsuit brought on behalf of teacher Douglas Bartlett. He had been suspended without pay for four days “on the grounds that his use of the tools as visual aids endangered his students, despite the fact that all potentially hazardous items were kept out of the students’ reach.”

Common Core homework has mom questioning exactly what daughter being taught. An Arkansas mom was disturbed to learn her sixth grade daughter’s homework was to “prioritize, revise, prune two and add two” amendments in the Bill of Rights. The homework, part of the controversial Common Core curriculum, said that the Bill of Rights is “outdated and may not remain in its current form any longer.”
Anti-bullying law is bullying, court told
A New Jersey school’s “anti-bullying specialist” has determined that a student’s statement, “although truthful and on a matter of public concern,” amounted to bullying because it made another student “sad, a little mad, and alone.”…… The comment came after parents at L.L.’s school had been notified that a student had head lice. “During the discussion, one student asked a female student why she had dyed her hair. After she failed to respond to the question, one young boy, L.L., correctly replied that she had done so because she was the student who had head lice.” The comment prompted a school investigation that concluded L.L.’s words constituted bullying and he should be punished.

Pearson Education’s creepy vision confirms Common Core fears
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Pearson Education, an official partner in the development of resources and tests for the Common Core State Standards, recently released a video series to share their ‘vision for the future of learning’.
In these videos, educators’ teaching styles are monitored by real-time cameras in every classroom and evaluated on the use of specific points of instruction. It goes without saying that dictating specific teaching strategies makes for big problems, especially if those strategies are used for indoctrination purposes. Just look to Texas for testimony of teachers that say they were reprimanded and threatened with dismissal if they failed to teach in the exact manner directed by CSCOPE.
Pearson also confirms (again) Common Core’s global agenda as students are shown participating in ‘global learning’ activities resembling Model UN lesson activities. Pearson is an active supporter of Model United Nations, a program that has increased in popularity among more liberal school districts in recent years.

Students interrogated, violated and analyzed: Parents outraged at behavioral survey
Elementary school students in Leo’s K-6 schools took varying versions of a PBIS (Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support) Student Survey, without prior parental knowledge or consent.
In a sick rerun of the Nazi methods of using children to spy, this “survey” goes beyond reporting on parents and family. The 4th grade version of the survey includes nearly 70 questions including plenty of surveillance on teachers, classmates, educational environment, as well as family lifestyle and self-confession on the part of students themselves.

A lot has been made of Melissa Harris-Perry’s MSNBC “Lean Forward” commercial where she declares that “we need to break through our private idea that kids belong to their parents and families” and we need to “recognize that kids belong to whole communities”.

Make no mistake; this is a Common Core Public Education announcement more than an MSNBC promo for her show. And it sounded the bell for the final chapter in Marx’s ten point plan in the Communist Manifesto – literally the tenth point.

Obama math: under new Common Core, 3 x 4 = 11
Quick: what’s 3 x 4?
If you said 11 — or, if you said 7, pi, or infinity squared — that’s just fine under the Common Core, the new national curriculum that the Obama administration will impose on American public school students this fall.
In a pretty amazing YouTube video, Amanda August, a curriculum coordinator in a suburb of Chicago called Grayslake, explains that getting the right answer in math just doesn’t matter as long as kids can explain the necessarily faulty reasoning they used to get to that wrong answer.
Has constructivism increased special-education enrollment in public schools?
For those who don’t know what “constructivism” is, it is an educational theory that, in practice, looks like this in America’s classrooms:
- It is students from kindergarten through high school “discovering” their own answers by using manipulatives, working in groups, contriving “real world” problems through “project-based’ activities, moving and talking –a lot, and surviving in a hierarchy of those students who can lead and those who must follow according to their skills.
- It is lots of colorful, jazzy pictures in books and on classroom walls that show many different ethnic groups, women, with gender-neutral stories, and with child-directed activities that only require teacher “facilitation.” Children rule the day.
- It is feminized instruction that supports the goal of public education to provide egalitarianism or equity, especially to girls and minorities. That’s the priority placed over building excellence, since excellence smacks of cognitive exceptionalism. That ability is not appreciated nor encouraged where equity is to be the norm in classrooms.
- It ridicules practice and repetition as “drill and kill” and believes anything that requires memorization is a waste of time that should be used for “creative” thinking.
- It focuses on process, not results. “Process” is the actual “product” of learning.
- It believes that if students are having fun, according to perceived “learning styles,” they will like going to school and they will learn the academics they need to prepare for the world of work.
One new report finds that American High Schools and elementary text books contain countless inaccuracies about Christianity, Judaism, and the Middle East. Experts researched and found at least 500 errors. Stated as a fact was that Jesus was Palestinian, or the Quran was revealed to Muhammad by God, and so forth. Millions of children use these text books in all fifty states.
